Back-end Focused Full-Stack Developer in Waystone Software

Waystone Software is building CRM, marketing, and practice management automation platforms for financial advisors. Our products, Altitude and Pathfinder, blend CRM, marketing, and AI into one seamless solution.

We're seeking a Backend-Strong Fullstack Developer to join our startup to help us scale fast, and launch our MVP.

• Develop backend services using Node.js, Next.js API routes, and PostgreSQL
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS tools, etc.)
• Work with Docker for development and deployments
• Manage deployments and services across AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3)
• Collaborate with frontend developers to wire up APIs cleanly and efficiently
• Implement secure, efficient server-side logic
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions and best practices
• Debug and resolve server-side or integration issues

Our Stack

• Backend: Node.js, Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL, Next.js API routes
• Infra: AWS, Docker, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines
• Frontend: React, Next.js (for API integrations)

As a fullstack developer at Waystone, you won’t just write code — you’ll own entire workspaces. That means:

• Translating business needs into clear, technical solutions
• Taking full responsibility for your features from design to deployment
• Writing clean, tested, and secure code across frontend and backend
• Contributing to the team by flagging risks, suggesting improvements, and communicating clearly

We are looking for developers that have:

• 4+ years of backend development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM
• Proficient with AWS cloud services or other cloud provider
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.)
• Experience working with Docker for development and production
• Familiarity with Next.js backend development (API routes)
• Experience building SaaS applications
• Proficient in Git and GitHub workflows (pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies)
• Solid understanding of REST API design and server-side security best practices
• English proficiency (C! or higher preferred)
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience preferred
